The international financial technology company Rapyd bought the Icelandic company Korta around the middle of last year. Korta is now called Rapyd Europe and Garðar Stefánsson, who previously worked as Korta’s Chief Business Officer, has been hired as the company’s CEO. Under Garðar’s leadership, the company will focus on internal growth and increase the number of employees in Iceland, while at the same time supporting the growing scope of the group in Europe.
“We are making payment intermediation accessible to both retailers and consumers by simplifying business anywhere in the world,” says Garðar. “Rapyd supports hundreds of payment methods around the world. We help retailers make the consumer experience more convenient by offering the payment methods that consumers choose to use. “
